The International Sonar is a 23' high performance keel boat. It combines a competitive profile with the flexibility and stability of a family boat. This increasingly popular design is favoured by sailing clubs world wide, and boasts a truly international fleet with an active class association.

Sonar was the Paralympic keelboat in 1996, 2000 and 2004. Sonar was used in the US Women's Championship (Adams Cup), US Junior Championship (Sears Cup), US Men's Match Race Championship (Prince of Wales), Women's Keelboat World Championship, Women's Match Race World Championship, Disabled Keelboat World Championship, Cowes Week (four years running) and Cowes Youth Week to name a few. Sonar received ISAF Recognized status in 2000 and is manufactured in North America and Europe.
CarbonIndex has been involved in the manufacturing process of the International Sonar for the past 5 years and is now the official UK and European builder and distributer for the class.
